Company Secretary/Legal Adviser

Jideani Chukwuemeka

Mr. Chukwuemeka started his career as a general counsel in the Legal department and Company Secretariat at Midas bank Plc (Now part of First City Monument bank Plc) in Victoria Island, Lagos Nigeria. He made a steady progress in Midas Bank plc to become a deputy to the Company Secretary & Legal Adviser in 2002; in addition he was appointed Head, Credit Risk Management and Loan Recovery in July 2005.
He joined Abuja Leasing Company Limited in October 2005.
Mr. Chukwuemeka’s client work and experience cuts across Company Secretarial Duties, Legal Advisory Services, Ethics and Compliance Services, Risk Management Services, Insolvency Practice, Arbitration & Negotiations.
He is a Legal Practitioner and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, a Chartered Arbitrator and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Nigeria), an Ethics Practitioner and a member of the Ethics Institute of South Africa and the Ethics and Corporate Compliance Institute of Nigeria.
He is a member of the panel of neutrals appointed by the Nigerian communications Commission for the settlement of telecommunication Industry disputes.
He was appointed as the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser of Abuja Leasing Company Limited in October 2005.

Chukwuemeka, a family man, is happily married with children.
